Workshops
Workshops last for one to two days. We will focus on one skill or creating a specific object (exception Glass Blowing Beginners Weekend). We will have seasonal workshops where we will help you create multiples of an object and you take home your work! (Ornaments, Flowers, Pumpkins, Hearts, Flowers etc.)
Glass Sculpting (Beginners) (14 hours Sat-Sun)
This workshop is geared towards the student with a sculpting background, who would like to try their hand at glass. We will be learning basic glass blowing skills becoming comfortable with the tools, material, and working towards creating small glass sculptures. Through drills and exploration we will build a relationship with the material and begin to understand its potential. This is a great workshop to gain knowledge and ideas on how to use glass in our work. “ If your hand is getting hot you are moving to slow.”
We will be taking an hour lunch. 14 hours $360
PAPERWEIGHTS (3hour)
In this class we will begin to develop the skills to work with hot glass. The first hour will cover movement, safety, and basic skills. We will slowly progress into making paperweights, developing an eye and a feel for the material. By the end of third hour our hope is you have an understanding of how glass moves as a material, you are more comfortable, and you have had fun. This is a good introduction class; one can expect to take home 2 paperweights, a lot of knowledge, and a want for more. 3hours $100
BLOWING BUBBLES (3hour)
Glass floats and Ornaments are the basic and introduction to blowing glass. In this three-hour class we will cover movement, safety, and basic skills to add air. Through teamwork, we will create a variety of blown bubbles. $100

GLASS BLOWING BEGINNERS WEEKEND (8 hours Sat-Sun)
This class is ideal for someone who would like to get the full glassblowing experience. Over the course of the weekend, we will develop an understanding of the wonderful material of hot glass. We will start with exercises to build skills, each skill builds onto the next. We will be making solid work the first day and moving towards blowing glass the second day. Student can expect to take home various small sculptures/paperweights, ornaments, and (blown vessels. 4 hours each day $265
